    Newbie question,

Do you think that getting "low-quality" likes/favs/subs and other internal link building from exchanges such as AddMeFast or YouLikeHits can actually damage your channel? Wouldn't YouTube see the referrer as that network and see the tiny view percentage and assign a lower ranking, or is a like a like and a favorite a favorite?

    Thanks,

It can hurt. Just be smart. For example, a video that typically gets 1-15 views per day would look odd if all of a sudden, 100,015 views from nowhere, then 1-15 again

What the guy above me said is very true. Just keep things reasonable don't start off blasting your vid with a shit ton of likes, take it slow and drip feed.

I think the quality matters more in regards to views, than as it does with favs and subs

AMF is mostly Brazilian likes and they come from a referral hiding service (it shows in analytics).
    So, I recommend targeting countries.

For sure. The quality of views matters much more than that of subs/favs/likes. I'd still be reasonable with them though especially in this day and age of YT draconian measures.
