I think AI must not be smart enough to detect a fake person.

One user here in blackhatworld called Michael Lean said to me some time back in this year that using photos from thispersondoesnotexist for Facebook photo verification in disabled accounts has 70 percent of passing.

I wonder if this chance is now low.

Facebook has been working on custom software for detecting deepfakes and such. AI is better at some fields where humans aren't.

OP, you should just try and see how it works for you. The image aren't all unique, if you refresh enough times you'll see the same image a couple of times.

When i refresh images in thispersondoesnotexist, I get new images.

I even refreshed it 100 times, I still get different images.

I was wondering if you know users of Facebook that used thispersondoesnotexist recently when they get photo verification when their Facebook accounts get disabled.

thispersondoesnotexist generate a new unique image at each refresh, it works for me with a decent sucess rate at least 50% (I do not do better with real pictures, this verification process is not very reliable).
