Can I use texts from YouTube descriptions on my website?

Of course it is indexed by google already so there is no point having that content on your site and expecting it to rank. However in a site where we fetch You Tube videos 'as is', such content gets populated. I have built such sites with a youtube plugin but such sites don't rank well unless you actively work on them.

What if we add text content on such a site alongwith fetching YT video?

Do you mean to say you will add additional text to the fetched description text?
