Can I use popup that contains product link on my amazon affilate website?

There is a statement in amazon affiliate policy that says:
6. (o) You will not post or serve any Special Links or other content promoting an Amazon Site within any pop-up or pop-under windows, transitional page ads, or layer ads, except for pop-up windows in conjunction with your Site promoting Products closely associated with the materials on your Site.

There is a similar question in the amazon help section:
Q:Can I use my affiliate tag in pop-ups on other websites?
A:As stated in the Operating Agreement Participation Guidelines, we do not allow Associates to use pop-up or pop-under windows, transitional page ads, or layer ads around or in conjunction with the display of any site that is not your site to drive traffic to Amazon.com.

If I understood it I can add an amazon affiliate link to a popup within my website? Did I get it right?
So let's say I put popup with the product name and button bellow that says Open product on amazon.
Would that be breaking of their rules? As I understood you break it only when you advertise your affiliate link within a popup.

So basically, amazon does not allow paid traffic, amazon does not want random users on the internet to have an window opened that will go to amazon.com.
Using a button or a text link is the same in amazon's eyes.

On your website yes, if i'm not mistaken EasyAzon does just that, but if the visitor has an ad block he won't see your link/button.
