Of course you can but it may be harder since you can't meet up or talk to them on phone, unless
you use something like say skype. You can however setup a nice website to promote and get
sales that way. Don't give up ;)

First, learn your craft, THEN focus on getting clients. Otherwise you're wasting peoples' money.

apreciate your replys,,,about getting local clients, can i jv with lets say marketing college students, give them prospecting materiels and teach them how to market mobile websites and give commisions on every client booked.is this a good strategy since i can't talk or meet the clients.

If you are focusing on Mobile Sites im pretty sure once they find out how to make the bussines, they will do it on their own since mobile sites are not too hard to learn, on my opinion you cannot give on silver platter ALL your business to someone you never met ,on other country,
why would they keep workig for you once they learn how do create everything?

On the other hand if you mean Mobile Apps thata a total different thing, mobile apps for mobile iOS are way harder to develop or expensive if you re hiring a freelancer, point is , its harder to emulate, you would need to learn how to code

you sure will make a good couple of friends but business long distance this way, i dont know it seams risky
    good luck tho
    just my 2 cents

Of course. Making normal websites is still huge business but if you want to focus on mobile websites, there are still plenty of websites that don't have good mobile versions. Find them and let them know what they're missing out on.

This is not going to end and will always remain a moving target. As the user experience and human interface to machines is improved (it's easy to believe it has got as good as it can be with some tablets etc.. but think about it, we're really moving very quickly and things never stop instantly) you'll be able to rehash this forever and ever. The mobile thing is really just a specialization of the website thing, but it's easy do and fast to see the results/benefits with all the local searching.

You can never say ''yes'' or ''no'' to such kind of questions - you should just try and see for yourself how the things are going.

Try out and you will know the answer.

    Best regards,
