Can I ship DVD's with CB? Or all digital?

Could I get away with an instant access ebook then ship them a 5 pack dvd later?

If I can what happens if they want a refund? Will they have to send the dvd's back first?

You could probably get away with it as long as there is an actual digital product that the customer will get instant access to. The DVD set would be more of a bonus for them after they purchased the instant delivery product. There would be no requirement for them to ship back the DVD set if they wanted a refund. Basically they just file for a refund and it's given, no questions asked.

The real question is "Why would you want to do that"? The advantage of digital products is that you no longer have to deal with the expenses of production or shipping. Just set up a page where they can just download all the content from the DVDs. That way once a purchase is made, they are sent to the delivery page, you get the money and your done with that sale. Nothing more you need to do. You don't have to be checking everyday to see if you need to ship anything. You don't have to worry about people complaining about the shipping, or claiming they never recieved it.

With a digital delivery system like clickbank everything is automatic, you set the system in place and just let it run. You can concentrate on marketing it to more affiliates and customers, and forget about the traditional hassles of delivering physical goods.

The simplest way is to host it yourself. If you're hosting plan isn't large enough, or your host provider won't allow file hosting then you should find one that will.

It's a lot better that way because you have more security, but you don't have to host on your own hosting account if you really don't want to. Just set up an account on one of the file hosting websites like mediafire, rapidshare, etc. and upload the files there. Then just give the customer a password and link to the files from your product delivery page. Either way it's a good idea to bread the videos down into smaller chunks so that people with slower connections can still download them.

Another solution is to just stream the videos from a password protected website instead of offering a download option. If you do that then you can embed the video player into a webpage that also includes upsell advertisements on the same page for your customers to see everytime they want to view the videos.

There's pros and cons for all those suggestions. You just need to figure out which way will work best for you. I think all of them are better options than shipping a physical product though.

Easy solution here. Don't ship the DVDs until AFTER the refund period. Your ebook better be good though to keep people going for at least a month.

There is actually a reason why physical products make sense, but Clickbank isn't really tailored to allow for them to really play out.

If a person receives a physical product, two things now play more into your advantage:

(1) refunds drop, as some people just won't put forth the effort to return something, and
(2) grounds for chargebacks is now lower, as a physical product was indeed fulfilled.

If you know you can do it and still turn a healthy profit, it makes sense. It's not set up for Clickbank, though.

Ya I wanted to offer a physical product to lower returns.

I think I will host the info and videos and give out logins to the info. I will just break them into small 10-20 min clips.

I wanted to try and make my product affiliate based to increase sales. I was checking out CJ but they require like 50k a month in sales. I'm not there yet.

At least in the US this won't work. If the physical product is mentioned as part of what they're buying, but they don't receive it within (I believe) ten days, they can file for a chargeback.
