I have a website that has thousands of visitors come to look for e-books of COPYRIGHTED books.I don't have the e-books. But I see other websites share it for free, which is definitely illegal I think.

Is it safe for me to sell my visitors access to copyright infringement e-books shared for free by other websites?
I intend to ask visitors to pay a small amount to access the download links.

Will PayPal shut down my account for selling access to copyright infringement e-books that I don't host?
Will claiming that the e-books are owned by someone else help?

Yep, that is the path to losing your PayPal account. Why not point people to amazon where you get a commission and there is no copyright infringement?

I tried amazon but I made like 30 cents per sale. The commission on amazon is very low.
