    get an account at deathbycaptcha and you will only have to copy/paste their c# code in your code!

    Code:
    using System.CaptchaBypass;

    public class BreakImage
    {
    public static string SolveCaptcha(Image cap)
    {
    return Solve.SolveImage(cap);
    }
    }

    all joking aside, yes it is possible to design an OCR in c#, however it would be a very large under taking. there isn't one method or code snippet that is going to do it.

    a good starting point would be the System.Drawing.Image and the System.IO namespaces. these hold your classes to deal with images as well as the major important stream classes for reading and writing information.

    You can, my code for breaking some captchas works like that :
    1) Take captcha to System.Drawing.Bitmap
    2) Scan pixel per pixel
    3) Split image to characters
    4) Compare characters to previously mapped data

    This kind of breaker needs to be learned - I just enter result manually few times to let him know "what's good and what's not" ;)
    I hope that it was useful for You :)

    I believe there are a few API's/Classes out there that you could use for this.

    I think you can solve capcha by using C+.

    You can solve captcha using basically any language of your choice. There isn't any example code that can be given to you because it's not a simple project like how to create a calculator or something as novice as that. You're really going to have to think about your goals and apply math and algorithms.

    I suggest you forget about programming languages for now and think about how you would actually solve a captcha image and write your plan on paper with psuedo code. The language is the least of your concern and probably the least important factor here. It can be chosen at a later time.

    the way to do it is to use a neural network. i am pretty sure that is how all the big captcha solvers do it. but, yes, it is a huge undertaking.

    You can write it in any language you like. And yes, OCRs use AI.

    it's definitely not easy, and something tells me by the nature of your post that you think it is.

    here is an old link i had bookmarked about this, it could help you get started.

    google "ai captcha comment spammer"
    it's the first result.. i can't post links yet sorry

    It's extremely hard to create something like a captcha solver.. If you manage to code a reliable solver which has accuracy of over 80% I'll pay you a huge amount of money to get my hands on it ;)

    Well if you are serious about this you should create an OCR app which learns from your manual input (as suggested before) and you should take a REALLY close look at image processing algorithms. Maybe check out some articles on a website called Codeproject.

    It's possible to solve trivial captcha's via using a Tessnet2 (complied version of a c library for .net)

    Anything slightly complex, and you're on your own.
