Can I post 10k products on my ecommerce website with similar descriptions? Or it would be penalized?

Since Google is very strict with blog posts, I'd like to know if my ecommerce website could be potentially affected by those updates from Google. Or if it's something different and I can throw a bunch of products with similar descriptions without facing major issues

when it comes to descriptions for propducts, think of it this way, google will know that products written by ecommerce platforms will be similar to others. after all there isn't millions of ways to write a small description about the same product such as dewalt powerdrill.

thanks
it makes sense

Using similar or identical descriptions for a large number of products on your eCommerce website can lead to potential issues, particularly in terms of search engine optimization (SEO) and user experience.

did you write that or it was chatgpt? it seems a bot

There will be no problem at all.

Funny thing, I stole 3 of my competitors product description, made some SEO on website, throw their description on gpt with prompt for seo and put the description on my product page.

I'm ranking 1st on the majority of the products I stole descriptions lol :D

Anyways, just because it looks like you're creating 10k products at once, be patient when creating products, or create every product without having search console first. I created my search console with over 20 products, and added +50 in around 1 month.

My website has already implemented search console
But I will try to split it instead of publishing 10k products in just one day

incorrect....

Sure! When it comes to SEO, using very similar descriptions for many products could cause some issues with Google, even if it's for an e-commerce site. If the descriptions are too identical, Google might not look too favorably on it and could penalize you.

A good practice would be to try to personalize at least part of the description for each product, maybe by adding unique details that make them stand out. This not only helps with SEO but also improves the user experience. So, try to avoid too much duplicate content!
Okay, not sure if I agree with it, but I will try to create content as unique as possible, thanks

Definitely chatgpt has written that for him.

Man don't use chatgpt to write your answers! It's against the rules of the forum!

It is in your interest to describe your products closely to help G understand what you are talking about.

well for 10k products they will be from different categories. If this is the case then create like lets see there are 200 products in one category then you can go with 4 product descriptions 1 for 50 products. Or you can 5 or 6 descriptions with slight changes.
