There's one KW, all top 5 results on it are from high authority sites, DA more than 70, one is business insider.

I checked on-page, was quite good but not up to the mark.

Checked the backlinks profile of all top 3 have some contextual backlinks from high authority sites but possibly paid or guest posts.

I was thinking to make some HQ diversify links, some web 2.0s, and tier 2 for web 2.0s to outrank top results. is it possible?

The reason I am asking this is the same content can be ranked for one LSI KW but I am sure If I change it for LSI then probably not gonna rank for the main KW, which I want to rank for now.

What's your position on the SERP?

You already mentioned they have contextual backlinks from high authority sites, why then do you want to go for lower quality links than them and expect to outrank them?

Some high quality guestposts and PBNs would be of help in your situation but there's no guarantee.

How old is your site? how many articles do you have on it so far? how many Referring domains to your site?

Right now it's on page 4th, and I was talking about high-quality relevant site guest post, manually build web 2.0s and tier 2 links, i don't think PBN would be nice idea, maybe later when ranking get stuck.

My site is about 7 months old, around 58 articles, I can't say about referring domains, i made about 40 myself(most are article/profile/forum/ relevant). Most of my keywords are ranking at 3rd or 4th page.

Google SERPs are rigged. Sites like Forbes and Business Insider are abusing their massive authority by mass-producing content. There's not much you can do to outrank them.

I wouldn’t go after this keyword. Even if you do everything right, Google just doesn’t favor the little guy anymore. There is a chance that you may rank, but it would be far more profitable for you to put in all that money ranking keywords where you already see niche sites in the serps

Yes you can I would suggest you to build 10 - 15 top class links monthly on the keyword then yea you can do it
why do I need to make these many links monthly, top results do not have more than 4-5 high-quality backlinks? could you elaborate, please

Yes, you can but it will take long term efforts and you will have to increase general domain authority + create much better content than current top sites do.

Op if they are investing in that keyword, you need to do the same if you want to outrank them and basic web 2.0 stuff not going to do it.

yes, you can! but quality links will be expensive and if it is going to be worthwhile for you, then go for it. web 2.0 should not be your go to option for competing against big brands. Although even after doing everything (quality content + HQ links) there is no guarantee that you could beat the top guys but reaching page 1 - just below the big guys is a big possibility.

Websites with high Domain Authority can pass along some of that credibility to you if there is a URL on their site that links back to yours. The more backlinks you can get from high authority websites, the more likely you are to increase your own Domain Authority

Unless you have a very good budget, just forget outranking such authority sites. Go for longtails instead.

I don't think you can beat authority sites by using Web 2.0. You need high quality links like, guest posts and niche edits.

Because you are asking about Authority

I don't think you can. Age+HQ Content seem to be the standard for authority these days.

Site : Too new.
Articles : Too less
Referring domains : You can check in Google search console.
Keywords ranking : high traffic volume or low traffic volume
