You can make money. But with a music channel, it takes dedication. If you start uploading music without permission, you will get copyrite strikes. 3 strikes and you're done.

You need to know what tracks are due to be released and try to release your video first. For this you will need to speak with record labels and get their permission first. The only downside is, labels won't freely distribute their music to small channels. You need a channel of about 5 thousands subscribers. Why? Because this proves to a label or producer that you obviously care about the music and are going to promote the track to its fullest, not just leak the track to gain notoriety on a music forum or blog.

I have various music channels on YT. The biggest having around 90 k subscribers and the smallest, which I launched 3 months ago, has 800.

I will not be revealing my channels but here but I can answer any questions you have.

The question is who owns the right to the music? Is it developed by you or is it copied?
