I would also like a definitive answer to this question.

I have several subdomain autoblogs and some of them are acutally ranking pretty well.

I am a bit confused. Are you sure you mean domain, or do you mean hosting?

You can have as much subdomains as your hosting will allow if you have a dedicated home webpage/site if im understanding correctly.

A domain is just the name of your autoblog.

Depend to how you're doing it.. but IMO I don't recommend this .

If you want to make a big news/niche website using your main domain for that and using categories in subdomains, interlinking all and make it looks like one website then this can works good .. .

But if you're making niche autoblogs then you better setup each one in a new domain.

Hey, .info domains are just $1 !

Yes you can do this, it's just gonna take alot of work to rank subdomains. A perfect ex of this is about.com. All their sites are subdomains. So just apply basic SEO principals, build backlinks, and it will work.

I'm making about 10 websites on subdomains per each domain and it works good. All 10 websites are on the different niches and i'm not interlinking them
