Basically I have a pharmacy blog and it links back to my main pharmacy site. I dont want legitscript to see that it links back to any site, so they wont have a reason to take down the blog. is there anyway I can hide the backlinks from web users? so if legitscript stumbled on my blog, they would see its information only and no link backs to any site? I want Google to see my blog linking to the main site, because its a PR3 related backlink. please let me know if you have any suggestions guys. cheers.

    Mrecigarette,

If you are talking about just hiding a link from a human user, yes this is easy. Although there may be many ways to do this, you could simply apply some css code to the link. If you did it inline in the link it would look like this.

    <p style="display:none;"><a href=www.example.com>Text</a></p>

You could also do it from an external style sheet by applying a class to the anchor tag.

You may also find some more innovative ideas here,

    Hope that helps,

people used to change the color of the links to the background color so it wouldn't show up but it would still be in the source

What I did was, place the text, then I hid the text under an Image, would Google still pick up the backlink that way? I just need to keep it like that for 60 days until I can transfer my domain to a registrar who allows Pharma domains.

Make the underline and blue color go away via CSS ;).

Yes it does help linking to authority sites, makes it look like you are cross referencing with them i.e. agreeing with them i.e. saying the same thing, and they are authority so it counts. It really does help, but I don't usually hide them and I dont know if it would have any bad effect if done so.

I too want to know the answer to this question, would the G-bots see this as trying to hide a link and therefore raise a red flag?
