lets say i have 10 blogs on 1 domain. 1 of them is my most important blog. Can i put a banner on all of them pointing to the main blog, with noindex, nofollow tags? Only for the human traffic? will google not penalize me?

K, because you said "10 blogs on 1 domain"

Those tags still do their job as far as i know, but i personally dont use them anymore.

Many would say it will have a effect with your rank on google if a blog of yours is sandboxed due to the fact it has a backlink from a 'bad neighbour' . However, i do this all the time and i dont notice any changes in my rankings if i encounter this.

Hope you have your domains on several servers. Then it would have some positive effect on the ranking of your main site because it will then have good linkjuice from different ip's.
