I intend to buy register new domain name with the word "google in it. I was just thinking if it's legal, and if I can safely use the same domain name on a site with Adsense ads.

    What do you guys think?

just as an example of what could happen to you. A few years ago i used a domain name with the word Olympics in, well you can imagine the trouble that got me into. They threatened my with legal action, i spent months and a lot of legal advice trying to get out of it. It's not worth the hassle or cost, believe me

Not worth it - you're very likely to get a request for you to drop the domain and all your work will be wasted

Last time I checked, Google has Monitor working for them, which checks all domains containing Google and other trademarked names. Once they pick up the name after being registered, they will contact whoever registered it to hand it over, or start a legal process.
    I wouldn't touch it.

We own several "google" domains which however are used for advertising their own products.
