There are 4 similar-style articles on my PBN website that target my target niche (garden niche), and 3 of them have no backlinks.
Recently, I built a new website with a partial matching domain name for my original niche (garden niche). I can now insert a backlink pointing to the new niche website in any of the 3 old articles?
Or for the sake of safety or the best SERP effect, write a new article for this new Garden Niche website and then add a PBN backlink?

Yes, both will be fine. If the old articles were ranking for any of the similar search terms, it would give more value to your site. Also, add links to some relevant authority sites/articles to look more natural.

In other words, it is completely ok, safe and effective to treat the PBN website as a normal blog website and insert backlinks to niche websites in old articles, right?
Especially if the old article already ranks for certain keywords, inserting a backlink to the niche website in this post will have a better and more significant SERP boost, right?

That's what they tend to call a 'niche edit'. If the articles on your PBN are indexed but aren't linking anywhere, then yes you should at least try and get some value out of them, otherwise they're just taking up space and crawl budget.

It's fine. Make sure that you have not inter connected your PBNs & the setup was done properly. If there is any footprint, it will affect your network and both of your websites will be at risk. So, please make sure of that.

Yes, it will be effective and it depends on other factors like competition, website performance, etc. I hope you already know that. If needed you can power up the old articles by adding quality backlinks. It will help a lot.

Yes, it's safe to use PBNs mate if they were treated properly and it will be great addtion to your link profile and boost

You should treat your PBN site as a regular site.
If all your pages link to the same site is looks fishy.

It's safer and better for search rankings to write a fresh article on your PBN site that directly links to your new garden niche website.

Sure! It can be good to add a backlink to your new website in one of the old articles on your PBN site, as long as it fits naturally. But if you're not sure, writing a new article for your new website could be safer and might help your new site rank better in search results.

Inserting a link may pack more power/juice. If your PBN looks very much like a normal website and isn't easy to tell is a PBN. You can do both. As in, insert the link and create a new article that would link to a post on your new garden blog.

Yes, you can provided:

It's actually a PBN and is private.
Doesn't look like traditional link farm.
OBL is good.
No footprints leakage.

Yes you can do it, since it is quicker to implement , but as many said for safer side try to write a new article(high-quality) specifically for your new website in your niche and then add a PBN backlink within that article.

I have about 10 PBN websites. Half of them are inserted links into old articles (for articles that already rank for certain keywords), and half are written new articles and published PBN links on new articles. Is it ok?
PS: Insert links into old PBN articles and the effect for SERP ranking will be seen faster, right?
