Can I get to #1 on google by having only 1 post on my blog and doing a lot of backlinks to the post?
no. No way.
possibly yes if you do it right
Depends on quality of the article you have posted, and the quality of the backlinks, and also on keyword you are targeting...
I think it's possible but it's going to make it a lot harder if you don't have much content and if people do go to your website, I don't think they'll like the lack of content so you might not be able to keep them on your website for long (Although this does entirely depend on what type of site it is).
Just build some decent content, it's not too difficult. If you're incredibly lazy, pay someone else to build you some.
I spoke about this today already - Go to G00gle and type in 'something' - hit enter.
The top domain is worth studying (it has been there for several years) and once you have, I believe you will have the answer to your question.....
you can even rank one page website , its same in case of a post
I have just checked "something" - that is amazing Nothing on the main page, just three lines of HTML, but the actual domain has over 1500 pages and nearly 16k links show up in yah00. Pag3 rank 5 - hats of to the owner for making g0013 his biatch - all the talk about unique content, link spamming etc - and there you go.
i dont think so
you need to post a lot of post with same keywords
lots of SEO
Lol! Good one! Very inspiring! Thanks!
Yes, YOU CAN !
I done it for a few blogs and it is very possible, just work on good quality backlinks ( I made around 300 ).
Of course you can't fight for a high competitive keyword. Mines are around 600,000 without quotes.
First of all the answer is ABSOLUTELY YES. Especially when you did not specify the competition. For some keywords you can even rank with 1 article and 1 backlink. There is not much to say to this extremely broad question.
Anyway you can rank for high competitiveness keyword as well. Because backlinks is still more important than having lots of content. Content helps a lot, but imagine if you build million quality backlinks you coud rank for almost anything even without the article lol.
But the bottom line - why make your life harder when you can add more content and doing this will allow you to rank with less effort than by having only 1 article.
Backlink Watch shows it having 31967 links.
yes you can
If you do this well it's possible
YES! My site ranked at 1st with 2x250 word articles.
yes it is possible but it is not easy. Most of my blogs have appr.3 articles. Some have less.
yea I have done that
might be hard but it is very possible ...with the right seo work anything is possible
It's possible with enough off-site SEO. As takeachance put it:
Check out the SEOquake stats for the "something" site. Here's a few:
Age: Nov 22, 1999
And lolz the domain is over a decade old.
