Any valid opinions or critique would be appreciated on me just rapping over this little beat, having some fun. Let me know what you think. Just uploaded.

Little context about me : I'm a off the dome 7-time rap winner, I love freestyling it really kicks up the flow, I write occasionally like for this song, didn't spend to long on it though.

Why I want critique? I used to rap in a american accent, otherwise I would basically get alienated from that audience as a lot of them turn the song off when they hear a british dude on mic. This is my first song making a return to the accent, so feedback would be...appreciated!

    and here it is, thanks.

I think you need to work on your flow and "ride" the beat.

    That's my honest opinion.

Accent is throwing me off.... and I actually like a couple british rappers like S.A.S (eurogang) ... they are black british and have some dope punchlines and their voice doesn't bother me at all

anyway, you sound like you're just talking on the beat on some parts... I don't hear any UMPH ... the delivery needs work... the beat is....umm i guess it goes with the song...

mic quality sounds like crap... not to be rude... my $400 setup sounds better than that and all I have is a shitty mixer with a cheap mic pre amp and a $200 mic using cool edit pro LOL ... I don't even have a pop filter haha

I think my sound comes out a little bit more clear because of trial and error with tutorials on youtube...finally got it to go with my voice

    anyway good luck keep practicing

Thanks. I agree with you. I know my flow took a hit, since I'm used to going off the top and I had to read off a screen - and when bars are of substance its usually weaker too. Which sucks because my flow is usually my strongest point. Thanks for that, I know I fucked my flow up a bit on this one.

Fair enough, but this was on a AKG Perception condenser microphone and the track has been properly mixed down...youtube messes the quality up.

Great song but the mixing and mastering could be much better...the quality of the song sounds a bit low because of the production (mixing, mastering) techniques you've used.

Thanks. Could you elaborate a little? I think youtube took a large chunk of the quality away it wasn't uploaded in its raw MP3 format.

The only critism is that your flows off at some parts but only briefly. And obviously you gota keep the British accent. I can tell by your content you probably listen to people like black the ripper, lowkey and akala.

LOL, mine is an AKG perception 220 $179.99

I went to a music store and bought a $800 mic to see if it would improve anything... and honestly it didn't sound that much better and i think it's due to my recording area... it's out in the open which I know isn't ideal and I think the cheap PRE AMP was affecting it as well

I returned the mic back like 4 days later after recording 2 songs and comparing with the AKG and like I said....there wasnt much difference most likely due to preamp/recording area

thats why I want to succeed in IM which will improve my understanding on marketing so when I can afford top knotch quality i'll have experience with promotion etc... therefore marketing my self as a rapper shouldn't be that hard in the future ahhaha

Haha, thanks I do. They are pretty much the only british rappers I vibe too these days, heavily into american hip hop from the 80s - to date though.
