You can, it might help delcrease the bounce rate. But its always better to have higher text content percentage than the videos.

In fact, using this technique has enabled me to get a decent amount of views on YouTube and get quite a number of subscribers.
It is a fairly passive way of promoting your YouTube channel.
Every single time somebody finds your article on Google search results, they load your page and on the side of the page are your videos.
I would suggest, though, that you invest in attention-grabbing thumbnails.
I didn't do that because I use software to generate my videos.
Still, If you get enough clicks on your videos, this can translate to a decent amount of views because your channel is piggybacking on the organic traffic your blog posts are getting from Google.
This can create a feedback loop where the traffic you get from YouTube can lead to more page views.
The same with organic traffic from Google searches can lead to more content page views.

I imported 1000 videos from my own channel and built a website in wordpress. I didn't pay attention to it as I got occupied with other projects.
After around 4 5 months when I happened to check the traffic of the website, it was fetching 250 to 300 organic views only because of those videos embedded in my website.
Its been 2+ years and I didn't face any problem with that website. It is a side project so I am not serious about it too, but free traffic is always welcome.
