Please help me understand this if you can.
I'm currently working on a review blog. I am in need of images for the blog posts. I'm not getting the right images from stock images to use.
Question:
1. Is it safe (google SEO compliant) to download images from google, edit them in photoshop and re-upload them unto to my website?
2. How about taking screenshots of images from google and using on my site, are they also safe to use?
I would appreciate your views and suggestions.
Thank you in advance.

Edit the images how? I think the problem you face is the content isn't originally yours to edit/alter potentially opening you up to repercussions.

Yes its ok but still you may be face copyright notice. Its better to use free image from https://pixabay.com/

same answer as above

That infringing copyright, the owner can ask you you to take it down or take further action.
You can try using the filter "safe for commercial use" in Google image search to be on safer side.

That's stock image, he don't want to use them.
