Is that against their TOS?

I've read mixed opinions on this, a lot say use their API, does that mean the SiteStripe bar?

If yes, then how can I optimize those HTML code for SEO? I mean the alt attribute?

Thanks!

No you cannot do that. Fetch them using third party API-based tools or use the internal image link generator from affiliate-program.amazon.com

Just link them from Amazon.
From the sitestripe bar right? sorry for being so nooby lol

If so, what about the alt attribute for optimizing images for SEO?in this case i'd have no control over those codes

Thanks!

I've been doing it for years. Never had a problem.

Edit: but don't use customer uploaded images.

Use a plugin like AAWP or similar that uses the amazon api to grab images.

Brand images are fine. That's what they are there for. Done it for years with no come-back
A disclaimer on your About Page

"Many Images used for promotional purposes are manufacturers or distributors own images and are therefore used under fair use and with explicit benefit for the image owner. However if you would like us to remove an image, please send the URL (s) of the images concerned to the email address on this page and we will action it as soon as possible"

No one can argue with that. (Well an a$$ could argue with that - but then there is no getting around some people just being jerks)

Search for the same product on other sites and download the images from the reviews. Search for review videos on YouTube and grab a snapshot from that video.

Always remember one thing, never copy something from someone you are directly working with.
