Hey guys just wanna open a website where I can sell my stuff online. Right now I am selling through another website(trademe.co.nz), its just like ebay but I am just sick of their rising fees etc. I have little knowledge of html code(damn wish I listened in school) but was looking at some templates online which are free. I do am computer savvy and can learn small codes or use them if I can find some help online. Ultimately I want to design a store website with a cart where people can order and pay online with their credit cards/paypal etc.

Since this will be just in new zealand so I dont really need much advertising as people will be directed through my sales page on trademe.co.nz. What i want to know is can I develop a website like that on my own using templates etc. And if I edit those templates and add stuff etc then can I add carts etc and how do I publish my website online?

Thanks for any kind of help :)

    Harrysown,

Have you tried using Wordpress? Its pretty much a website in a box. There are tons of templates online for it and also lots of extra plugins that add more functionality.

You can do a self hosted option,

    Wordpress.org

    Hope that helps,

    Shawn
