I have a windows VPS (XSserver.eu) and I'm looking to buy another one from hellomotow (A member here). Now the VPS from hellomotow requires me to login at least once in 8 hours or else it will shut down closing all my running programs. Its not a hard thing to do but sometime I go outside the town leaving my PC at home for days.

I was thinking if it is possible to connect to the VPS from the XServer one (The one which remain on 24X7) and just minimize the remote desktop window to tray using some software like hidewindow? Will it work?

Cheers.

it will be work, i has try it, my PC --> VPS 1 --> VPS 2 (--> Remote too)

yea dude, why not? your other option would be to create some bot to automatically log you in every 8 hours... plus you create an extra animosity factor when not directly connecting.

Can I just ask why a VPS has to be logged into or else it gets switched off?
Never heard of that before thats all.

Service providers like hellomotow need to avoid bottle neck by closing down the inactive sessions, limiting no. of threads as well as no. of software you can run at a time
