    Hi there,

I got a .org that i registered long time ago, and a couple of days ago i checked and i found that the keyword is getting 8000 exact local search and 18k exact global searches :):):) and it's in a very popular health niche,

but the the keyword got 3Mil+ in "" and got about.com in the front page and some other heavy domains ...

do you guy have any experience with EDM in high comp ? can they rank or not ?

    Thanks

Can it be done? Yes. Is it easy? I'd say hell no.

Having EMD is an added advantage. You don't have to worry about 3 Million pages. All you need to do is analyze the sites in the first page. Use Traffic Travis or Market Samurai to check the on-site/off-site SEO competition. Also *manually* cross check the competition result.

EMD's help in all search engines, but particularly in Yahoo/Bing. Google seems to place less importance on them. I'm currently #1 in yahoo and bing and on 2nd page of google with a 3 week old "exact-domain.us" - in a competitive niche. The key (imo) is to get some good clickthrough during your dance, so write an attractive title. With EMD you're trying to establish that you are the "GO TO" site for that keyword, so a high clickthrough seems to carry you a long way.
