    Hi guys,

I am trying to target my blog for a longtail keyword phrase. See the screenshot for the top-10 competition. My site is currently at #6 for the longtail keyword and as you can see I am the only player with the targeted keyword in title, url, desc and head and I have 76 bls to my page. Also 60% of my backlinks are having the exact targeted keyword phrase in the anchor.

The top 5 players have loads of backlinks as you can see, I've analyzed the 5 players and they have an insignificant amount of backlinks (something like 5%) to their page/domain with the keyword phrase I am targeting. Will I still make a chance to beat them assuming I keep building my links gradually, even if they have loads of backlinks which are unrelated to my targeted keyword phrase?

    Thanks in advance guys!

    Yes you can.
There is shown the total number of links for a site for all the keywords they have.
But try to make more backlinks to long keyword and you will beat all of them.

As you can see rank #6 is pulling its position due to good on-page SEO tactics. Build on the same foundation and at the same time build good quality PR backlinks to your site and you should come out ahead. A nice set of 100 HQ Backlinks can/will beat out 65,761 low quality backlinks. I like to scrape the top 10 competitors backlinks and flush out the garbage while keeping the 2+ PR Do-Follow links as a good start. They do most of the work for you!

Assuming this #3 has only PR6+ backlinks (best-case scenario for that page), simply get atleast 90 PR6+ backlinks and you can outrank number 3. What I suggest for you is to purchase a simple link pyramid here on BHW and do an AMR blast too. This may cost some money, but is really worth it.

Also check your competitors backlinks (profile + blog) and get the ******** links from those too.

Thanks a lot! Well yeah, I always scrape the competitors website as well and try to take the PR2+ of them as well, but mostly the links are from authority sites and I cannot put my backlink on such a sites unfortunately.

Thanks for your feedback, although lots of PR6+ backlinks isn't that easy to achieve and regarding AMR blasts.. do you have a good provider who can offer this service?

    Thanks again!
