for example, if someone goes to your website and shares a news story, it will appear as if you had shared it, but in reality, it never shows up on any of your friends' news feeds. hence, ur website has been banned.

I guess they can if too much people complain, I am not 100% sure tho.

my web counter shows people clicking on "share", but when I go to their profile, the story is not posted. is my site banned? i don't know. plus there is no spam button for news feeds. so there's no way to complain.

I really don't believe that facebook can do this.

I mean, in a technically view, they should.

But if a website linked into facebook have a lot of succes, if it makes some kind of buzz ? If facebook ban this site, facebook gonna die soon.

A lot of ppl enjoy fb to share contents, if this content can't be share, then ppl will leave fb !

i believe that farest that they can go is that they will ask verification for your site, each time you put something on facebook...

I know that because of my blog, it's on blogger and each time I type it in, it asks me for verification and my account is PVA...

if this is a new ability they can do, then they will be able to stop any website from going viral

If FB ban a site it is completely removed, all traces will disappear and users will not be able to post the URL in status updates anymore, I've got a couple of blocked domains it just pops up saying, "Some users reported this URL as offensive".

    Exactly what I do :D
And so you don't get the same bit.ly link i normally do:

    mysite.com/(random sequence here)
    mysite.com/(random sequence here)

keep doing it and go to your htaccess file and send your 404 page to your homepage. Works a charm.
