I've googled this question and have never really found a definitive answer to it, so I thought I would ask here. I have had three ebay accounts in the past that were restricted/closed by them. The last of these accounts were closed at least three years ago, it might even be a bit longer then that. Shortly afterwards we moved and I was able to set up a new account and have been an active seller for nearly 3 years without issue. I have been accessing the account through a laptop that I didn't have for previous accounts and of course since I moved we have a different internet provider, etc, so I have severed pretty much every connection between myself and the old accounts. I have an iPhone 6 and access ebay without signing in on occasion to check the value or going rate for items I find at estate sales, etc... but have never signed in with that phone to any account, current or previous. I have had the same phone number for many years and the phone number on the iPhone is one that was at one time used on a previous account. Since I have NO idea as to what kind of information ebay can glean from an iPhone, I am nervous about signing in with my phone to check my auctions or answer questions that my buyers my ask me. I have read that if I download and use the ebay app that they can keep track of my phone, but what about signing into my account via my browser and thereby avoiding the app? Am I just being paranoid?? I would really appreciate some knowledgeable advice on this. Thanks in advance.
