To rephrase. Can CPA networks know the referrer of the referrer?

    Here's my scenario:

Traffic source (may not be fully compliant) > landing page (my domain and hosting, fully compliant and cpa network friendly) > offer link

Note that I don't have any javascript or so from them on my landing page. I just link to the offer from it.

Do they only see the landing page or also what's sending the traffic to the landing page? If they know both, how? And how can it be resolved?

Thanks a bunch in advance! :)

No... well for all intents and purposes it's a no. As per RFC specs the client should only set the referrer header as the resource from which the request was obtained.

Now could their be some weird custom/hacked browser out there that doesn't follow the suggested guidelines? Sure, anything is possible I guess.

Could someone override default behavior and set referrer themselves to whatever they wanted? Again, technically that could occur.

So I guess it's not totally impossible, but it's certainly HIGHLY improbable.
