someone else had a similar problem a few weeks ago here. turned out his domain had been blacklisted or something, the previous owner had f****ed around. search for that thread, i'm not sure how to check but it sounds like the same happened to your friend.

Have you checked the previous registration info? For example how old the domain is and if it has had previous owners? Has there been aggressive link building to the domain? It very well could have been blacklisted but I would gladly take a look if you want to PM me the URL. Did you try site:mydomain.com?

    Is it ranking in bing/yahoo?

Sometimes, sites are removed without any acknowledgement.Or, it may have lagged behind too away to be searched by an engine.

maybe your domain if flagged, but if i were you i would still try to ping all the pages or posts if you have wordpress site with ping-o-matic or sites like that, wait for a few days and check it out again

Thanks guys, really from what everybody pm'd me and my own lack of findings. Is that we all still have no clue.

Is there a way to find out if a domain has been actually blacklisted? Preferably why. But is there sonewhere that can tell me?

I just find it really obscure that its blocked in all se. Not just capital G.

That's what came into my mind but reading all those posts i got curious why would search engines not list a site? And here comes the robots.txt bug, Do check it always as it is kind of tricky think that can put your business in trouble.
