Thats the million dollar question. There's a lot of talk about it here, but you never see anyone reveal the best ones. You'll get some good and some bad feedback on these type of sites that you've listed. There's really good ones out there, but they're very hard to find.

I was just browsing the forums and i came across your thread, i have had experiences here and there, on popular wholesale/resell websites and not so popular websites, and i gave my thoughts and opinions on these sites. I have copy and pasted my opinions from the other thread and posted it here, hope this helps

I have tryed alot of wholesale websites, these are my opinions

    - worldwidebrand - Not worth the money, couldnt believe i spent all that money and got back nothing in return, i was looking for electronics to sell, worst place to look. If you want to make like 50cents to a dollar profit an auction, i have found a couple of sites on worldwidebrands list, but other then that its crap.

    - slashedpricetag.com - its OK, i have only sold cellphones a hand full of times and dropshipping came in handy, don't need to keep stock, but price is a little high, but the things they do, its worth it in the end.

    - liquidation - its also an OK, website they offer you name brand electronics for sale BUT ou have to buy a huge pallet in order to receive them. So it really comes down to is if you want to keep any stock, and when you usually buy a pallet, there is a little note on the bottom saying we are NOT responsible for any broken items, so if your investing thousands of dollars in buying a pallet your really taking a risk, but if your buying clothes and perfume and all that its a great site.

    - alibaba - i do NOT recommend you use, there are alot of people that will lie to you just to get a sale, when you buy from there make sure you look at the sellers feedback, use your brain, if its too good too be true, it usually is. So be careful, i do NOT recommend this site for people new to the game.

If you have anymore questions or concerns, let me know ill try to answer them
    =D

Oh and plus id like to add this, ill tell you how much money i made with each site.

http://www.worldwidebrands.com - I lost the $200.00/$250.00 i invested in that site, yea thats right i LOST money, didn't find one good site

http://www.slashedpricetag.com - I made decent profit with the products on this site, around $150.00+ for one auction, the highest profit on one auction i ever got was $400.00 which was pretty amazing, but the reason that i said it was OK, was because i did get a couple of returns, but in all i made around 10-13 listings and made around $2,000.00+ profit, the reason i stopped was because i got a HUGE supply of name brand products which were authentic at a really good price, so im making decent money off of that.

http://www.liquidation.com - With this site i probably made $1,000.00+, but the reason i said it was OK was because, you have to buy pallets to get the best deal, and pallets are huge and unless you have a place to keep everything your screwed basically, and sometimes the items are broken and theres nothing you can do about it, you can't even get your money back, thats why if you want to buy pallets off of that site and you don't want to take a risk in receiving broken electronics, just buy clothes. Yes, theres less profit with clothes, BUT theres no risk in receiving broken items. ;)

http://www.alibaba.com - I don't know exactly how much money i made with this site, but i will tell you, it wasn't alot at all. That is because there are so many scams and what not happening, i just didnt want to take any risk, but thats just me.

Well goodluck everyone, hoped this helps.

What sounds strange to me is the fact that some of you have not found a single provider
on worldwide*brands, they are a good source of information not the holy grail but the best around I have seen.

Would not be nice to have one of their members to grab the whole database and share it here with all of us..? :D

No I am not just self promoting That is the best site out .You say you can vouch for doba when I know good and well that doba is crap you can not make a dime off doba anyone can search Google and figure that one out ,but people still go there and lose there money every day. As far as the shopster/world wide brands question I have delt with both of them and well the reason I dont endorse either of these sites is because with shopster you dont even get paid cash for an item if you sell it YES that is correct here is how it works for example lets use nike shoes say you sell a pair of air max shoes for 60 dollars and the original price was 49 dollars right so you should earn 11 dollars However the way there program is set up shopster gets that money .So what do you get well 3 to 7 weeks later you get a "rebate" in the mail from the distributor for however much they decide to send you I have seen people get a couple dollars off a 20 commission .Now as far as world wide brands go .THEY ARE A MUCH BETTER OPTION THAN THE FIRST. However they are I think 250.00 to sign up right now and all you get is a list of companies .Do you want to pay that much for a list? I dont if I just wanted a list I would use salehoo before wwb it is exactly the same list 150.00 cheaper but as I said the powersellers union gives you alot more for the money and I think we all need to save money these days.

Alibaba can be good though if you follow some simple rules

For me I find a product or products that I want then contact and negotiate a price

From there no matter what I always follow these rules

1st pick a small item or something up to the value of $100 never any more than that- and ask for a sample to be sent-

If the item you are after is more than that then pick something they sell thats less than 100 but dont risk any more than you are willing to lose
I can handle being scammed 100 bucks but no more

Most on alibaba are chinese and always insist on a western union payment if I can send by other means ie paypal or something with some protection i will use that to pay

However before I send any money
I the check out the seller

If hes a gold seller than that lowers the rip off odds considerably but doesnt totally mea they arent a scammer.

Then look up his details and call their landline making sure its a number in the county your supposed tyo be ringing .

Then do a google search for -"whatever company name your dealing with " and the word scam ie abctrading scam or abctrading.com scam

If someones been scammed by them before its usualy comes up in some forum somewhere so is a good indicator to not deal with them

If alls good up to here then I go ahead and send the cash and ask for an immediate tracking number to be sent.that keeps the worry from escalating and usually within 24 to 72 hours your sortedand know the products on the way if not keep emailing them till it either arrives or they respond with a tracking number.

After that i then double my spend next order (order 200 worth of product)

then when that arrives i double it again

    and againand so on

that way if they rip you you should only lose small as you will have gained on the items that were sent if any or if they get you first off your only down 100 bucks.

Im in australian and deal with china quite a bit - we are on the same time almost as them so its easy for me to deal with them. its quite funny most scammers i get on alibaba seem to be from europe mainly eastern europe.(most alibaba scammers masquerade as chinese companies and try to get you to send funds then rip you off )Its easy to pick them out because they come online about late afternoon in australia time and say they are in china where as china is almost going home at this time.

easy way to catch them out - i google what the weather is in where they are supposed to be from and say its supposed to be fine and 35c

then i say "hey i just seen theres a cold snap in your city how colld is it there now"usually they respond "yeah oh its freezing here lol" and bang scammer is caught out.

If you follow these rules you willusually be ok - so far touch wood i have never had any issues followig my rules but also if it sounds too good then it usually is

You need to find yourself private dropshippers or wholesalers that can make you tons of money in a private way. I have been in the importing/exporting business for years, I have several products that can make you money on eBay. Willing to dropship as well, drop me a PM. Business license and reference available. Good luck with your venture!

    I don't recommend Doba.

    1. You get little or no profit
    2. Products are old (especially their shoes)
    3. They don't ship internationally
