Ask these people, they have several ancient coins of Roman, Judean era coins but the images are a pain to find. If you send them the image of your coin, they can help. It's an auction site I believe.

Code:
http://rosenblumcoins.com/

Thanks, I sent them an email. :)

Keep it, don't sell it! However if you want to sell it already, know that people would want to rip you off.

P.S.
I only have golden Napoleon coin from 1850.

For sure have to look around to first find if it's even real and than to see what it's worth. How much is your Napoleon coin worth? :)

I don't know what coin this is. I was a numismatic dealer for a few years but I was dealing paper money only. However, even if it is 1000 years old (and I pretty much doubt it is ) it doesn't have to worth some huge money. I have some coins for Ottoman period and Republic of Ragusa that are hundreds of years old and none of them worth more than 20-30 dollars, even the gold ones.

Age is not the main factor of coin or banknote value. Rarity is. There are for example many Russian banknotes that are 100 years old but their numismatic value is few dollars. And there are some banknotes few years old that worth hundreds of dollars.

Anyway, OP, I suggest you to go to some local numismatic meeting ( I am pretty sure there are many of them in big towns) and ask someone to help you. There are many coins encyclopedia guys out there, someone would help you. Or try searching Google groups, many of collector enhthusiasts are having their groups there.

Thanks, I'll check out their groups. I personally highly doubt this is going to be of real worth anyways, I'm simply not that lucky.

The coin definitely looks like it's from the Judean era. The letters look like Hebrew. Contact any Israeli bank or some museum near you.

This is another site that you can contact:

Hope this helps! :)

Exactly haha i can already see him sitting on his couch with some kaki pants on, High collor shirt under his knit vest , some Bach in the background, while he's cross referencing his coins in a book.
I didn't even know Vegas owns a book.:p
It is KHAKI pants not KAKI:p

That's about the same thing that one of the rare coin dealers that I emailed messages me back. Still gonna wait on second and third opinions. Just cause it's old doesn't mean it can't be in good condition.

If it's original and one you're talking about (2140 years old) it should bring you "few bucks". As I said age is not always important and I don't know shit about specific coins but this is "older than age" lol, and I'm pretty sure there are no tons of these coins out there.

And it doesn't look like replica to me. Too bad condition for replica :). It's easier to find original and old coin in good condition than replica in bad. Replicas were not in the use ever, original can be saved on many ways. I have tons of paper banknotes that are in UNC (uncirkulated, they don't have any single millimeter of damage on it) condition and they're old dozens of years.

Exactly, and I've done alot of searching for this particular print, and have not come across a single location that could provide me with the proper image, only coins of what I would think the same era due to the similarities, this suggests high level of rarity, I'd say this coin is at minimum 500 years old, to be given it as change, is phenomenal. Fantastic find man.

Thanks, I still don't think it's real though. And even if it is confirmed real I won't believe it until the money is in my hands. I'll try to get some better pictures of it but as I remember my camera didn't much like the surface of the coin the last time I tried to take a picture. :p

Can you get a closeup of the coin on an angle, say 45 degree on the left, and right of each side of the coin front and back (4 pictures total)? that would let me see the text a little more clearly so I can search it? This kind of stuff interests me quite a bit so I have no problem looking it up for you.
