    Hey guys,

Sorry if this is a bad question.

I am currently useless at SEO (black or white) and make the little affiliate money I make through PPC and incentives.

I have a real 'bricks and mortar' business (vehicle sector) and it isn't doing too good, hence the reason I am trying to learn and practice IM.

It just occurred to me that I may be at the best place in the World here to get my real business a boost...

The good news is that my business is in a different sector to most of the things you guys can make money from (i.e. nothing to do with dating, iPads, viagra (lol) etc.) so it isn't likely to effect any of your other campaigns if you get me sitting at the top - hope that makes sense?

Anyways, if you think you can help please get back to me, one thing to consider is at this stage I honestly cannot afford to invest a lot of money, but as business picks up (and it DEFINITELY would if ranking high on Google) maybe we could agree an ongoing profit share...this could actually turn into BIG money, really!

Although it is a real world business, it sits in a sector where 99% of sales come through the Web, I can expand more by PM if anyone is interested.

Thanks for reading, and in advance for any help.

p.s. I already have an indexed site, it's just on about page 1000!

if it's a local brick business you need to dominate the 10 box in google maps local search.

download google maps cash from the downloads area and maybe local business machine

Thanks for the tip Kez, I'll check those out now.

You have prompted me to add a little extra info with your comment too - it's not really a local business in that we supply vehicles right across the UK, it's like 'mail order cars' in a way, totally legitimate though.

I can help with some on site optimization, don't really get myself into the link submissions, long boring work.

But id be happy to sort your on site optimization out for a small fee.

Once you've made sure your site is properly SEO'd, I'd be inclined to use a few tools
to get easy backlinks. ScrapeBox gets my vote, and is on sale in this forum, and the
    Warrior Forum.

    PM you.

Don't worry, internet marketing is best applied to real world 'brick and motar' businesses.

You're very welcome. I could run a blast for you later this week, but you'd
need to provide me with certain material, as I don't have the time to sort
it for you. Of course, if you do buy ScrapeBox, there's no need.

hey im in the same boat... real brick and mortar business. we get most of our business by phone, trade shows and catalog where other businesses are doing over 200mil just online.

Ive learned a ton from this site so just be patient.

Ill give you a short list of things that have helped me a great deal
    1 start a blog
    2 start a few blogs
3 link those blogs to your site
4 comment on blogs - track your work and build an efficient process - drop links obviously
    5 d/ld some good blog finders/ commenters
6 learn to use google to find good blogs
7 do some forum posting where you create a profile / and have links in your sig
    8 d/ld an article spinner
    9 d/ld internet business promoter

10 learn how to use yahoo site explorer to research your competitors links
11 consider buying scrapebox. I havent yet but it looks like it is the best product for the money.. less then 50 bucks and has a ton of potential plus a ton of support

    good luck

Pm me your url and the keywords you want to rank for, I'll tell you if it's possible. If your keywords match your domain, backlinking may not even be necessary.

Despite popular belief, backlinking isn't the be-all.

I would disagree. All things being equal, it's the backlinks that will make the difference to SERPs position assuming the keywords are competitive and the site it sufficiently on-page SEO'd. Obviously if there are only a handful of competing websites it won't be hard to rank if keyword is in URL.

Really, backlinks are not necessary, I have many new websites that are on page 1 of Google out of several million results. For search terms like 2012 olympics, tv online and pork suppliers.

I have never done a backlinking campaign with the idea of increasing my position in the serps, the only reason I would ever backlink would be to increase my traffic through direct linking.

Believe what you believe but so much of what you read is bullshit.
