Hi, I dont know what happened with the site.. I cant find a clue. This morning I found the site perfect, And I didnt change a thing, but looks like the slider images on the page suddenly got corrupted. I've checked with mozilla firefox 13, IE and Chrome. All gives same issue. But, when I visit the site from my other PC it shows perfectly. If anyone could look at the site and tell me what you see? site: http://shareyt.com

From my side everything looks great, maybe it's your OS. Defrag or do something.

Something is your system is making your site looks incorrect, but everything is fine.

This can also be your browser, clear cookies, try a different one and see what you get.

If all your browsers fail, then this must be your system registry. Then make a defrag or something.

Thanks for the advice. I was guessing the PC was the culprit.
    All browsers failed.
Also I tried browsershot to find images from outside source.

Btw, are you ercommending regular hard disk defrag?
    Or registry defrag?

Use 'Advance System Care' for windows, it makes a great job in keeping your system running pretty well, the free version is enough. It gets all the tools you'll need.

Generally, I use multiple OSes for situation like this. If you are a Windows user, you have to know that this kinda things happen very often, and having other OSes, even a different version of Windows, is enough to keep you aware of any failure.

I tried the software and fixed some registry issues and defragged but it didnt solve the problem.

Still the slider image on the site looks distorted, splitted on all over the page when viewing from my home PC.
All mozilla, IE and Chrome browsers showing same distorted page from this PC only.

The software ASC was cool though..
    any more suggestion?

    What Windows are you using?

How much memory do you have on your machine?

No, there is nothing wrong with his site, I'm checking here from my win7 and everything is fine. The problem is with his OS.

I Wanna know what is the version of his Windows and how much memory he has.

Thanks a lot everybody for responses.

I am using WinXP 32bit service pack 3, version 2002.
    RAM 2GB
    3.4 Ghz CPU

The menu doenst work fine with Internet Explorer, there must be a tweak for my stylesheet to fix this. I dont bother about Internet Explorer layout too much, IE sucks..

But what pisses me off.. i need to do some coding for the site but i cant go ahead until my PC displays the layout correctly.

Okay, I was suspecting that this could really be the XP.

How long do you have it installed?

With XP this is hard to solve this issue. There is a problem with your registry, some leftover programs is causing the system to display incorrect data. Sometimes not even the appropriate programs can fix this, and can only be done, manually. If you don't know how to do this, then, don't do it. 'Cause can make the problem, worse.

Here is the deal, you need this issue solved faster, so you can work on the rest of the site, immediately. Then , I tell you two options:

1 - You can format your machine. but if you have something on your HDD, that requires back-up, and you don't have the time, you may postpone it for later.

    So, the second option:

2 - It's totally viable with the quantity of memory you have installed. Grab a copy of the virtualbox(a virtual machine) so you can install another OS as guest inside and make the rest of the test with your site.

You may install another copy of win xp that you have or you can grab a copy of ubuntu and install it, too. I cite Ubuntu, because it's faster to install than win xp. Since you'll only need the browser to make the test with the site, Ubuntu will fit your need pretty well.

With this you'll save time, and don't need to format your system, right now, and get back to your work in the site.

Tell me one this.. Is it just your site that is being displayed incorrectly, or other sites, too?

    Only your site....

    Try the following:

Press the "Start" button. Select "Run" from the menu. Type "cmd" in the Run box. At the prompt, type "ipconfig /flushdns." You will receive confirmation when the command runs successfully. Type "exit" after the command has completed.

This will clear windows cache that sometimes keep old data of something. This maybe the issue.

After that reboot your system and check if the issue persist.

Please reply saying whether you got your problem solved or not.

The last instruction, that I gave you, is almost guaranteed that can fix it.

Slider looks fine on my side. I think theAngle's advice might solve your dilemma but if not check out a program called ccleaner it works well and has a registry section for winxp but please take its advise and backup.
When in doubt reboot - Good luck.

    Thanks Angle.
    You helped a lot.
I was about to write back several times, but couldnt manage it.

The last tip was time saver, it actually fixed slider problem for Chrome and IE. That was already a big help. At least I was assured there was no problem with the layout which was important.

    But mozilla still had issues.

So, After running the cmd from start menu, I restarted PC and what I had to do extra-
Uninstalled mizilla firefox and then also removed all linked files from documents and settings including the .ini file.
Then removed all mozilla folders eg. from program files etc.

Reinstalled mozilla firefox and now finally its okay.

Thanks everybody who have replied with suggestions.
Feel free to PM me if you think some social media boost would be helpful for your site. I will gladly run some campaigns for you.

    Problem solved.

I don't see any problems with your slider...Everything looks proper on my end. And I don't see the menu going straight down the page like was mentioned, either.

Good luck sorting it out though, must be frustrating...
