Hi,
I bought a domain, it's a .com 6 letter domain, very nice name, but I'm concerned about its past.
In 2018 this domain use to be a porn site from Japan.

Question: do you guys think it's worth to invest time and money (backlinks) to build the reputation from ground zero?
Is there a good chance to rank normally on Google if I make things right?

if the domain doesn't contain any adult / porn related term then it's been spammed with asian porn and you won't rank it easily (if at all). If the domain IS porn / adult related then you might be able to rank it, but I don't know how cause I never deal with adult sites. Maybe someone else knows

If you’re going to put something else on it other than porn, you could disavow all the incoming porn links.

At least you can give it a try, but maybe it will never rank that well compared with a fresh domain, though its not doomed.

Talvez outra pessoa saiba
Tks dude, it´s not porn

I think you are good to go in that case.

In 2020 I bought an expired domain that was a photography website with incoming backlinks. I made it into a website that had absolutely nothing to do with photography. It still ranks well in its new niche.
