    Hey guys,

I really want to get into online retail. Eventually I want to sell my own products but think the safest way to start would be to sell an already recognised product that I know there is demand for and build up from there.

Dropshipping seems to be the way to go but the prices are cr*p on the real hot selling stuff.. game consoles, branded headphones etc.
I am going to drop-shipping directories that have great reviews. But nearly every "deal" price on there I can get from Amazon anyway. Sony Playstation 4 £274 RRP £580. Total BS. You can buy a PS4 on Amazon for £280. I would advise anyone reading this that is even newer than I am to this to really do your homework.

You could in theory just buy from amazon one unit at a time and ship it to a customer living in a world where they accept RRP £580. But thats never going to be hugely scalable plus it isn't going to look great when your products turn up in an Amazon box.

So im left with cutting out the dropshipper middle man and going wholesaler. Or even better manufacturer. But is it possible for an individual to get "REAL" wholesale prices on branded goods without orders 600 units at a time? I use PS4 as an example, probably an unrealistic goal but "modern" branded clothes. Not end of the line stuff.

I know with Alibaba you get access to manufacturers and its definitely something I will look into when looking to white label my own product but for now im looking for recognised brands. If possible.

    Thanks for your time

    Tom
