They will see it as coming from your website.

yes they can see specifically what type of traffic you are pulling

    but not specifically to youtube/facebook.

they can tell....email, website...the major type of different traffics

The merchant can check the HTTP referrer on the traffic and tell where it is coming from. You have two options:

    1. Use a tracking script. All your traffic will now be coming from the traffic script so the actual source is hidden.

    2. Wipe the referrer with double meta refresh or a similar technique.

Many networks and merchants will not accept #2 unless you are only using email.

You must be careful because they can track all source of your traffic.

the answer to OP's question (if you read it carefully) is "no"

the referrer will be your website

so many contradicting replies here. let me get this straight....

traffic from facebook link to my site > my site link to offer > offer is fulfilled

does the aff. network see both FB and my site as the referrer or just my site?

The affiliate network can only see your site. The referrer is just the page the user is coming from.

The best way to get a 100% accurate answer would be to contact one of the leading affiliate network fraud detection companies online and ask them, just make it seem like your interested in buying there software.

This is how I know If my methods will work or not.

Check on this forum because you have some methods and scripts on how to hide the refferer.

Whichever site they click the aff link on is the referer. If they click from YT or FB to your site which had a redirect, they might see FB. As long as they are stopping on your page, then clicking the link, you're fine.

They see it as coming from your website where they clicked to go to the offer as that is the http referrer in this case.

Depends on which network, but most of them have smart cookies, encryption to tell where the traffic is coming from unless you have otherwise redirected or scripted an indirect link
