How would an affiliate network know i'm spamming?
well how do we know how you are spamming?
The word "SPAM" is very broad, can you be more specific as to what you are doing?
You can always hide the referrer of your traffic, this can be done with plenty of softwares and scripts.
If, however, somebody report you, you might eat the banana and not get paid.
If you are afraid of hiding the referrer - this is your right. Many people are paranoid that networks (or aff managers) might rip off their campaigns if your numbers are good.
Also, you might wanna share with us more about the way you are spamming. Also note that some small networks will be OK with that as long as you inform them.
Sorry for not being clear, i mean spam like sending messages and comments to people on social networks.
How would they use referrers to know i'm spamming?
They will find out if:
a. an individual complains to your network
b. the site you are spamming complains to your network
There is always a trail back to the money. Just be upfront with your account manager. A lot of times they are cool with blackhat methods (as long as it is not fraud and they can actually make a buck). Some networks will even ignore complaints if you are upfront with them.
1. They can go to your affiliate link and complain directly to the advertiser.
2. There's no list. You just have to talk to your AM. Transparency is key when it comes to talking with your affiliate managers. Without this, they can ban you without any notice.
yes they can and they know, some of them accept as long as they get paid too...depends on the methods you are using. they have a lot of tracking methods. They can cut leads, can cut a lot of things and you get paid less than you expect. I can give you an egsample: you use spam methods, make over 700 $ and get paid only 50-100 $, i don't think you would want that.
people report that you are spamming> advertiser recieves compliants> checks which network and which aff is spamming> anal for you
