Can a prototype product be made first?

Hi Guys,

Is it possible to get one of the chinese suppliers to make a prototype soft toy (willing to pay or do they do this free is you will bulk buy?) based on some specifications a friend of mine has, i heard that some will do this for products as long as it's not too complicated, i'm not sure if that info is correct, just thought i would ask

If you have money, everything is possible.

To make you a custom product though and not one of their lines, probably you would have to visit them locally or hire an agent.

Yes they will make a sample. They will ask you for a sampling fee which they will credit back when you give them the bulk order. Sometimes the sample they produce can be a little rough, depends on who you work with.
