If I register a new domain name and just stick a 301 on there to my money site would it be safe to then build/buy links to that new domain?

The money sites a 3 year old domain so its getting quite a few links but if that same amount of links then goes to a new domain thats bad news for that domain but would that penalty pass on through the 301 redirect to the money site?

Hope that makes sense im having a hard time explaining it!

Good and bad link juice are both transferable. Not sure I understand why the new domain is necessary.

I don't have enough experience or evidence with 301'ing to say for sure, but I wouldn't expect that only good link juice is transferred to the new domain.

What I would recommend would be to build the site as "naturally" as possible.

Ok one example i buy services from here, some to money site most to tier 1 web 2.0's.
In the past ive had web 2.0's deleted for stupid reasons and in some cases a lot of time and money had gone into them.
So I was wondering if I buy new domain and stick a 301 redirect on it pointing to the tier 1 web 2.0 would that work.
That way if the web 2.0 gets deleted i can just change the 301 to its replacement or another tier 1 site.

Ive got a feeling though it being a new domain it would pass on some sort of penalty.
