PR(A) = (1-d)+ d(PR(t1)/C(t1)+ ... + PR(tn)/C(tn))

if www.a.com have pagerank 4 and 1 backlink:
PR(A) = (1-0.85) + 0.85*(4/1)
=0.15+0.85*4
=0.15+3.40
=3.55
your site gets 3.55 from a.com

if www.a.com have pagerank 4 and 2 backlinks
PR(A) = (1-0.85)+ 0.85*(4/2)
=0.15+0.85*2
=0.15+1.70
=1.85
PR(A) = (1-0.85) + 0.85*(0/N) + 0.85*(0/N) + ... + 0.85*(0/N)
=0.15+0
=0.15
your site gets 0.15 from the 10 sites.

I hope this is helpful to newbies, just like to me

This is actually quite handy. What do you mean by the 10 sites on the second example, isn't it just one site?

Actually it's 10 different *pages* since each page has its own PR.

But yeah this calculator is awesome.

Basically leave your link on a page with only a few outgoing links and you'll be fine

I'm somewhat confused as to the importance of this for improving your websites rankings in the SERPs. PR doesn't seem to be that important anymore, unless you want to make a domain look good before you sell it. Am I missing something?

Link juice is what you get from backlinks. More link juice with target anchor text you have, the better your SERP position for that target anchor text. Page Rank is a general approximation of the amount and quality of link juice flowing to your site. It's just a number which in infrequently updated.

Here's the calculations, greatly simplified by me based on what I understand.

Just replace the green information with your numbers.

All credits goes to OP for posting the original version.
