Well since nobody anywhere seemed to have an answer for this I went to HG support to see if they could figure it out. And they did. In about 30 mins. Not good news!!!

It looks like articlesbase.com is blocking connections from our ******** SEO server.

I have 10 different accounts with HG and Seohosting 6 work and four don't and all 4 have had the server ip blocked by articlesbase. So no more articles from articlesbase on the 200 blogs on those account

Hope this explains why some of you are having the snoopy articlesbase error. Basically it means whatever hosting account you are using, has had that server blocked. Because the query to download the articles comes from you actual site and not your home ip there is very little you can do about it.
