Caffeinated Content - and Cron

CC does like a pseudo-fetch, means, you can schedule dates in the past and future, and it will pull all that content *at once* - and then post on your blog up to the future date from that pool of content it fetched. However, the content is not from that date, its old content...it is just getting posted on your blog as "new" on specific dates.

I am wondering whether there is a method using Cron to make CC really go out in "real time" and fetch an article or two..eg. really looking and scraping for new content. (And not the way it does right now)

if you're using cpanel, you can use cron job and write a simple sql script for it to run

Just curious why you would want to bother doing this? If thats what you want to do though why not just scrape RSS feeds with a synonym plugin instead of trying to hack CC and make it do things it wasnt built to do.
