It seems to be a great news for all the Gaypal haters. Soon there will be a big competitor to put Gaypal's monopoly down. I would suggest you guys to register and stay tuned with Moneybookers to get the benefits of Skrill as soon as they are available. Although it will need some time as the company says in the newsletter.

^^ yeah but I don't think its black owned as the company belongs from UK. but it will be going to rock the online payment method for sure.

I'm a avid hip-hop fan and I still can't stand that name. Use something more professional and mainstream friendly; not a term used in urban communities to describe cash.

The fact that he isn't black doesn't automatically mean that he couldn't be a hip hop fan. What are you, a racist!?

Skrill sounds like fail to me, I could be wrong though.

    skrill sounds fine to me.
most people wont know its slang and will think the slang came about because of the site. double win.

I hate Gaypal but I still use it (have to). Every major websites use Gaypal for their payment processor despite high fees. I have MB account but they suck, you have to load first (which is a hassle, where in Gaypal you can use your linked credit card straight away) and they charge fees for loading (whereas Gaypal only charge fees to the seller). So, in my personal opinion having used Gaypal for 5 years, they're still going to dominate the market, unfortunately.

the real question is....what kind of fees will skrill charge sellers? I mean, I'm not a fan of Paypal by any means, but they only take out...what...4 percent? And I've never had a problem with my account being frozen in over 6 years. But hey...always good to have competition in any consumer marketplace, right?

They probably used urbandictionary to find a term for money that still had a one word domain available.

HAHAHA thats exactly what I was thinking :D

I have never used moneybookers, but i here they dont use credit card and are not for the US? If both of those are true, they definitely wont dominate Paypal.
