I would buy a running website of my niche asap if it reached my expectations.

Many strategies can be applied from buying/selling domains with or without content. Buying the right ones, that is were the tricky part is.

Its the same as people who buy courses. You want it packaged and hand delivered to you. I rather grow a website from nothing to something but other people have more money than time and want to add more digital assets to their portfolio. I would only buy authority sites if I had a lot of money or SAAS business. Buying Affiliate and Shopify is too risky for me.

When you start fresh, you use trial and error and waste $$$ finding winning campaigns.

With an established site, you buy the brand, winning products and winning ad campaigns.

From there it's as simple as plug n play

Buying websites can be good if it actually comes with concrete assets (brand recognition, loyal customer base, email list, established SERPs, etc.) but you are right that most sites are just cookie-cutter templates with paid traffic that are essentially worthless.

Sometimes it's just fun to take on a project that you can enhance the results with. There are times where it could significantly multiply your initial investment. As a veteran copywriter, there are flaws I can spot/fix that the normal eye of someone selling a site might not even see. It's just a matter of opportunity. Without risk comes no reward.

People do it for a living... It's literally the blueprint for dropshipping! Shopify + Oberlo + FB/IG Ads = Win.

You are forgetting the fact that it the site isn't "final" after you have bought it. You can still make it rank, if you know what you are doing. The seller sells a ready made site, with content. You buy it, and do your black magic on it. I don't see anything wrong with this approach..

I was in such position last year, i had many websites in the past but last year i just decided to go into amazon affliate marketing, i had roughly 500$ to invest so i thought to myself i can build one website its not that hard as i did it many times but then i had some kind of negative thought in my head that i couldn't get rid of (what will happen if i don't build it the right way and just waste my money) so i decided to buy an already made website. Eventually i bought one from BHW marketplace for 300$. It had around 6k words and the domain was expired with good metrics, i made some changes and started adding content. Now the website is started ranking pretty well and i still add content monthly.
I'm sure i am not the only one who would make such decision but yeah i would rather buy an already made website for 300$ than wasting 500$( to learn you need to make mistakes but in this case i could not make mistakes because i would burn all my savings).
The website i bought was not lets just say a money making in 6 month website, it was just a base or a core that needed further work/investment :)

It's really hard to believe that people that own a website that generates sales want to sell it. Well, okay. Sometimes you need a cash quickly. However, whenever I see such an option my warning signals are blinking and tell me not to do that. I personally trying to buy an established website that makes money too. Good luck :)

Yeah, those lazy millionaires buying up sites rather than working hard and building up from scratch. They'll never succeed.

Why buy anything? You can literally do most things yourself?

    Why buy content?
    Why buy GP/ niche edits?
    Etc.

    Saving time, outsourcing stuff.

IF you have a site that's ready and is consistently making $$$$$$$, whether FB ads or not, why not buy it? It's a proven model. That person has spent $1000s, if not 10s of $1000s to get winning formulas.

Exactly. You go into something with that mentality and it never goes well!
