Okay, I have several questions about this whole stealth eBay and PayPal thing that I haven't seen answered clearly in the many threads I've read on the subject.

Here's my status: I was indefinitely suspended from an eBay selling account several years ago and would like to try selling on eBay again. My PayPal account is still functional and I have bought (on eBay and elsewhere) and sold (just elsewhere) numerous times since then. Both accounts have my real information, including name, street address, IP address and financial details. In addition, PayPal has my SSN.

    My questions are:

Which is better, making a stealth account myself or buying one pre-made by someone else?

If it's made by someone else, is it possible to buy a useful one from a reputable seller for ~$50 - 100?

If I make it myself, can it be done in the same budget?

If it's made by someone else, I assume it'd be in someone else's name. How do I reconcile that? Do I just have to assume that new identity in order to sell?

I presume a new PayPal account will be necessary either way. How much new information do I have to use and how do I get it? Do I have to just make up details? I only have one real name, one real street address, one IP and so on.

I have heard that eBay doesn't like public WiFi being used. Do I have to use a proxy / VPN? What's the difference and which is better?

I can make new financial information (bank and debit card) but those accounts would have to use my real info, I presume. Would this link my old account to my new one and get me banned again?

As for withdrawing, do I have to give PayPal my real info and SSN to do so?

Sorry for all the newbie questions, but I'd just like to clear this up for good. I appreciate any help. Thanks.

I have done both, and they will both work, but I will say this. The ones made by myself have had MUCH faster account limit increases. Literally every single account I have made in 2013 that I have actively sold to try to make money has at least 800/$65,000 limit, starting from 10/1000 and the ones I bought at 50/5000 limit at the same time have stalled in the $10K-$20K range.

You may be able to buy a 5/500 or 10/1000 for $100 or less, but it will take you some time to build them up before you can make real money.

to do it right, you will need a burner phone ($15) plus a pre paid credit card ($30 but after account creation you can spend $25) and a working bank account

Not if you aren't selling branded merchandise. I have never had to fake being someone else, because eBay never calls me and paypal doesn't really care if you have someone else's bank account is attached.

    EVERYTHING has to be new.

The problem with public wifi is that many have been abused to death so those IP's may be redflagged by eBay or paypal. Cheap/free proxy/VPN's have the same problem. The best way to go is to use phone tethered internet connection or spending some money on virgin IP VPN or VPS.

No. Banks will not tell paypal your info without a court order.

not for withdrawing, but reporting for tax reasons when you hit 200 transactions/ $20,000 a year limit

let me know if you have any questions...

If you have the time and patience to create them yourself, then by all means do it. But if you can be spending your time more wisely selling, then it would be worth it to purchase accounts. Just comes down to how you value your time =)
