I'm considering buying Twitter Followers for several Accounts. Mainly thinking that I'd be able to do a lot more with the Accounts without getting them suspended. I rarely get Twitter Accounts past 2000 Followers because they usually get suspended before then. Just from Following/Unfollowing.

So, what are the advantages of buying several thousand followers for a Twitter Account? Since most of the Followers are usually inactive, I can't see getting any extra traffic from those Followers. The only advantage that I can see is that you would be able to get away with a lot without getting suspended compared to a young account with few followers.

I'm about to purchase Twitter followers for 10 Accounts and start testing to see if it takes a lot more to get them suspended.

    Please enlighten me. :)

It helps to create a sense of more credibility especially for business accounts. People are more likely to inquire about a business with 5,000 followers as opposed to a business with 15 followers. A business with 15 followers may even have something of quality, but won't be taken as seriously.

    Makes perfect sense.

I've thought about getting past the 2000 limit as one advantage. But once my Following number reaches the number of followers, then I'd have to start Unfollowing before I can follow more, correct? I think you are allowed to follow 10% more than the number of followers you have.

Right now, I have a hard time following between 200 to 300 per day without getting suspended. If I have an Account with 10,000 followers as an example, would I be able to follow between 500 to 1000 per day without getting suspended?

The main thing that I am wondering is this. Are Twitters Spam filters much more forgiving on an Account with 10000 followers compared to an Account with 100 Followers? Does an Account with 10000 Followers look more legit to Twitter and they are less likely to suspend the Account for Spam reasons? Because if it is still just as easy to get an Account suspended that has 100 followers compared to an Account with 10000 followers, then spending money purchasing followers doesn't make sense to me if I'll still easily get the accounts suspended.

You can follow up to 2000 people and Twitter will not allow you to follow any more users until you have at least 2000 people following you back. So, you could keep following people and have very few people following you back, but once you have followed 2000 people you will need to unfollow some users before you can follow more. Unless you have 2000 or more followers.

Of course, fake followers should only be used to beef up your count, not make up your count entirely. An account with 1 real follower and 15,000 fake ones is a fail for obvious reasons.

I personally don't use fake followers, but if I were to start a new twitter account, I would boost the number with fake ones for the 2,000 and then build a real following.

Fake followers don't help in conversion but they do help for making you popular and getting some more followers (Real) who judge account based on following.

I gotta say something in here.........I always advise people that there are two distinct phases to their twitter journey... The first phase is always the building phase and this could take up to 6 months to build a relevant and active database of followers.... There is no point in offering a super duper promotion if no one hears about it or tells their friends about it........ This initial phase is an investment of time or indeed money, in the case of outsourcing this particular activity, with limited return...wishing the best for all........

They don't really convert at all :) They're most likely bots and fake users.

You can buy followers to jumpstart your new accounts, but it is very important that your posts are interesting and relevant enough to get new followers hooked.

Yeah, then people will start doubting your followers.

The biggest advantages for me are:

    1) More credibility - in general, the more subscribers you have, the more people credibility people will subconsciously give you. Think about it... if you do a search on twitter for a keyword and 10 people come up and they all have 10-100 subscribers, except one... you're going to subconsciously assume (herd mentality) that the larger list will be more valuable.

    2) 2000 follower limit - one you are over the 2000 follower limit, you no longer have the twitter imposed ratio and have (nearly) carte blanche to add as many users as possible.

    3) Marketing - Similiar to #1, you can use the number of followers as a marketing plot to get others to follow you "Follow us on twitter, 10,000+ followers can't be wrong!" Again, people assume that if alot of people are doing it, it must be legit.

To buy fake users, I recommend fiverr, as you can easily get 10,000 users for $5.

To build legit (but not targetted) users, I suggest sites like twiends.com, addmefast.com,etc. These sites work on a point system and allow you to get real (generally) followers. Hint... on twiends.com, for interests do a lookup on follower or followback.

Some great posts here and I agree with the majority of them.

I've been buying followers, but these have been on aged accounts (like over 1 year old), even though they haven't been tweeted to in those 12 months (forgot I had them!).
Have any of you tried this with a new account?

    As in,
    Day 1: Create account.
    Day 2: Buy X,000 followers.
Day 2 or 3: Start following 100s per day ...

Or have you only done this on aged accounts?

Also, how many are you following per day, once an account has say 15,000 followers.

I'm wondering whether it's likely to raise a flag if a new account gets a sudden burst of followers vs aged accounts.
