    few points to be noted before u pay anyone for seo service
    =====================================
    1. they just want your money, coz they're doing business
    2. they can be an angel or an asshole, take fake review for example, do u think those ranking screenshot are all real? haha.
    3. don't everget influence by the number of stars below the username.

    my algorithm to verify genuine provider
    ==========================
    1. inspect their profile, they must be a consistent service creator or provider
    2. look into their sales thread review, I pick review by reputable member only
    3. look at their started thread, spot if something fishing there. (once I saw a thread started by a provider asking how to get traffic for his new website, lol)

    few best practices that I do
    ===================
    1. always ask question before place an order (ask for sample etc)
    2. add them on skype to get even better discount (this is to build long term relationship if he's good)
    3. never buy from those who failed to delivery on time, coz they might not be the genuine provider, they come b working from mcd and outsource your work to freelancer/fiverr and deliver it here.

    What am I missing here?

    How long have you been in the forum because you seem to be knowing a lot about the forum.

    It's a simple guide that's to the point. I recently became a BST service provider myself on BHW, but here are a few other things you could check out to verify a BST seller:
    Points:

    Algorithm:
    • Check their recent posts. If someone selling copywriting services that they claim not to outsource is misspelling everything, you should know something is wrong.

    Best Practices:
    • Talk with them a bit and have a friendly chat. It doesn't have to be about their service or business, but try to get an idea of what kind of person they are before doing any business, especially if you plan on making something long-term.

    thats bs for a start - 8 years selling i have rule, i avoid signups from
    new members, low post users. old accounts inactive for many years.
    way i see if new members judge sellers as money grabbers

    think how we feel as sellers when 90% of money scams and rip off scams
    come from new members on bhw, check the shit lisy i aint lyin either

    always new members scamming people in freelance section every day.
    always new members joining to get banned after 24hrs spamming there
    crappy forum product links.

    always new members jacking 15 posts to spam inboxes with shitty
    ass products. and you have the nerve to say sellers are un trustworthy
    i find that funny

    You hit the nail right on the head. Buyer fraud is overlooked all the time. Customers don't have to get approved to buy. :p And if someone makes a "guarantee" then hold their asses accountable if they fail on it.

    BHW has the most comprehensive and idiot proof marketplace of any forum. Some people actually take pride in the work they do and it's not
    all about the money. Yeah sure it's a good by-product. ;D

    It is not BS, I believe more than 90% of them are like what OP said. I am glad if majority of the sellers are acting the way you are.

    3 years. From time to time I have to abandon my account because I got many pm from sellers trying to offering their 'stuff'.

    Sometimes I felt that there are new services which can really be worthwhile for you. However I believe there are some reputed guys in here selling quality SEO.

    when you pay someone for doing any kind of work the money is gone now there is 50% chance it could be wasted but on the bright side it can pay double for it self.

    yay this is so true, you;ve gotta be very careful while buying anything from over here except some-well reputed members. Some are here they just ask for itrader points in exchange though their quality isn;t that much good how you see their information in selling thread. And some are here who play a strategy they first sell one thing and in order to get that success they say you have to buy other product which will definitely help you.

    You have to be very very careful while buying.

    Thanks!

    and i will repeat, 90% of scams/spam/ are new members that is 100% fact.
    i wont even touch a new member with sales, never have never will.

    always new members scamming people in freelance section every day.
    always new members joining to get banned after 24hrs spamming there
    crappy forum product links.

    always new members jacking 15 posts to spam inboxes with shitty
    ass products.

    ive been here since 2007 - and the new member category for trust
    is by far the worst, and there best trick is buying multiple services
    then filing for a refund for a freebie

    and there 2nd trick is using stolen pp accounts again to get freebies
    as we all no the funds will get pulled.

    dont stick all sellers in the same boat, some of us actually deliver
    what we promise. dont judge the many because of the few
