Buying products on alibaba and selling them locally?

Has anyone tried this? Especially if you live in a big city where there are a lot of businesses that you could strike deals with. Selling items like auto parts to auto shops or electronics to local shops.

Definitely doable if you source a high quality product and market properly

Yeah, but if I literally go business to business, maybe I could strike a continuous deal where I provide a product to them at a fixed rate where I get a cut.

Most established businesses already get stuff for the low, but I know people have good luck selling trendy stuff at places like gas stations if they include their own display to set stuff up.
