Can anyone explain how the process works after I've made payment to the seller

Do you get files sent to you or is it a transfer some how? do I need the hosting ready to go

And the domain how is that normally transferred

I haven't purchased a site yet i just want to understand the process and be ready

Yes, you need a hosting ready. You can make a deal with him to transfer the site but better to learn this and do it on own.

The seller may pass the hosting to you, but make sure you will change anything after (*passwords, username, salt keys, etc).

Read here more info about site flipping.

just make sure you use a middle man/broker to execute the deal (like flippa, etc)

very first time someone ripped me off when i was first starting out with almost zero experience or knowledge in IM, guy from a forum got me to send him $200 for what i thought was going to be an excellent addition to my tiny, hand built website portfolio at the time, so it was my very first acquisiton of an already built site & having to learn how to do a transfer, guy acted like he would help walk me through the process since i was new... HAHA soon as that payment hit, POOF... he ghosted if i remember correctly the domain name / site was like bestmoviesonnetflix.com or something very similar - but yeah, you gotta learn somehow, and my dumbass took the road less traveled on that one & had to eat what was allot of $$ to me at the time

Thank you for that link, it was a good read

If you buy an existing site, you should be aware of its domain, content, traffic, keyword rankings, or some mixture of all of the above. After purchasing, You should renew your username password etc.

If you dont have any hosting. Check with the seller what hosting he uses and buy the same. the transfer is gonna be instant. same goes for Domain if its registered somewhere else.

Makesure to use Escrow service to makesure the seller delivers to you as he quoted and shared the details.

yeah, that is right and should be changed immediately

You will need the hosting beforehand. The seller will transfer the domain to you.
