Hey guys, not sure if this should go in the Hire a Freelancer section, but here goes anyways as this is not exactly a freelancer task.

I'm interested in buying multiple blocks of IPs directly from RIPE and be the sole controller of them, and route them to my DCs in EU where I have co-located my servers. The DCs won't help me get the IPs, but they are willing to add them to their routers for me, insert PTR for me. I need help with getting the IPs from RIPE, would appreciate it if someone could point out who would be best to consult on this. Time will be compensated for of course. Asked at a few hosting forums, but looks like this is something all hosts would like to keep private. I wish I had the time to research this myself, but I'd prefer hiring an expert.

    Thanks in advance.

To get IP addresses from RIPE you have to be a member and request IPv6 addresses first and then ask for the IPv4 addresses. Due to the depletion in IPv4 RIPE are tighter than a nuns chuff when it comes to handing them out. (http://www.ripe.net/lir-services/re...ipv4-address-space/how-can-i-get-ip-addresses)

To become a member you have to have some deep pockets:, first year signup and fees comes to around 3.75k and then 2k per year after that, plus a few euros per range (http://www.ripe.net/ripe/docs/ripe-591)

    Hope that helps a bit.

The applying for ipv6 first and then ipv4 is really cool info, what what would I do with the ipv6 that I get from them when i need ipv4 :D

Would be great we could chat on time if you think you can offer more info.

To be honest, I am only reading the RIPE pages so am not an expert but if I can help I will, feel free to grab me on Skype.
As for the IPv6 addresses, just get them and assign them to one of your servers, think thats about it going on what I have read on hosting forums :)

To get an IPv4 allocation you first need to have IPv6. Those are the rules set by RIPE and there's no way around if you really want to go directly to them.

Please note that RIPE is responsible for the European region and will not assign you resources if you do not have operations in Europe. Same applies if someone from Europe wanted to apply to ARIN for resources - they will need to have a company registered in the respective service region.

If you want to chat some more about this, add me on Skype :)
